Fall Maintenance for Ford
Ford vehicles, as any other make, need to be prepared for the fall season. Here is a list of items that will need to be done.
Check the battery of your Ford. It is a good idea to do this now so as to be ready for the winter as well. You do not want to be left with a vehicle that doesn’t start when the cold comes. The battery may be just fine, but you never know when it will need a charge, or even replacement.
Oil change is one of the most important things for an engine - as you know, it has to be done periodically, and now would be an appropriate time. Of course, consult your owner’s manual or a professional auto technician.
The life of wiper blades is not all that long so inspect yours and replace them with new ones if needed - meaning, if you notice that they are worn down and not able to clean your windshield properly.
It is smart to check on the heater and defroster of your Ford - you need to make sure that they are working properly.
In the coming seasons, you have to have working exterior lights. These include the following: headlights, brake lights, tail lights, fog lights, turn signals, and brights. The thing to check for with them is if they are all illuminating as they should.
If, for any reason, you do not feel that you are up to the task of performing the items above, turn to an auto repair shop that works with Ford vehicles, and they will do them for you.
