If you have bought a magnificent luxury performance car such as a Maserati, you probably want to keep it in top-notch condition. In this article, we are going to review some of the most basic things you can perform, or have performed at an auto repair center, in order to keep your prized vehicle in the best shape possible.
The first thing we are going to start with is the fact that you absolutely need to read the owner’s manual. Please, do not be one of those people who never take a look at it and then regret it in the long run.
Change the oil and filter periodically, more specifically, in accordance with the owner’s manual. However, as a personal advice I would recommend for the change to be done in spring. The reason for this particular advice is due to the fact that the vehicle uses more oil during colder months, meaning winter, and because the filter may be clogged if you have been using the heating system too often during said colder weather.
Driving with tires that haven’t been inflated to the proper levels is dangerous and really irresponsible towards the vehicle and your safety. The main concern is that this could lead to a blowout. Check the air pressure in the tires regularly, and not only when the dashboard lights comes on. Another thing to keep an open eye on is the tire tread. Driving with worn-down tread is also quite dangerous for yourself and for others on the road, so make sure to check it periodically and ensure that you can still drive with these tires.
Hope you enjoy your Maserati!
