 | Conserving energy reason In all public areas our thermostats are timed to adjust temperature at certain points of the day. For instance, in our meeting room the thermostat is set very low unless we indicate the room is occupied. In my office and the laundry area, the thermostat turns off at 5:00 p.m. and back on at 8:00 a.m. |
 | Conserving natural resources reason We have signs in the guestrooms indicating that sheets will not be changed on stay-overs unless specifically requested by the guest. We also have a sign in the bathrooms encouraging guests to reuse their towels by hanging them back up.

 | Reducing toxic emissions reason We have just recently changed out all of our cleaning chemicals and laundry detergents to a Spartan brand product known as "Green Solutions." It is labeled as environmentally friendly. |

A few examples; we offer complimentary rooms through the American Cancer Society to patients who have to travel to Billings for their treatments, we donate used furniture, linens, television sets, etc..., to local charities. We donate complimentary room nights for fundraisers year round. Cash contributions were made in 2008 to the M.S. Walk, The American Cancer Society, 4-H, Skyview High School graduation party, and Billings Aquatic Club. |
 | Paying living wages to employees reason Our average wage is at or exceeds $10 per hour when combined with a per diem bonus plan. Employees earn an additional $10 per day, for every day they work. This wage is paid out on a quarterly basis. |
