We have purchased new vehicles that are much more fuel efficient and we trail the cattle on horseback whenever possible. We use solar power and low-consumption light bulbs. |

reason All of our building supplies and ranch supplies are sourced at locally owned business. We need to keep our neighbor businesses healthy to limit our transportation costs. Like most ranches, we utilize every bit of raw material that we can for building projects. |

reason We enhance our river banks and range lands by increasing the diversity and abundance of native plants through mindful grazing practices. |

reason We exclusively use goats to control noxious weeds such as leafy spurge. |

reason We never use chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. We use the natural action of herd animals to improve the health of our ranges. |

reason Our grass fed beef is all natural. Antibiotics are only used for life-saving purposes and those cattle are pulled from the all natural program. |
 | Maintaining open space
reason One of our main goals is to protect working landscapes and large open spaces. To that end, we have donated conservation easement totally over 10,000 acres to The Nature Conservancy. |

reason Our animals are only inside if they need veterinary care. Otherwise they roam freely on thousands of acres of pristine pasture. |
