Nature of Business: An online/retail store that provides a wide selection of earth friendly products for our customers to purchase.
Mission: GetN` Green is an interactive web and retail store committed to enhancing the well being and health of our customers and the planet by offering products from companies that use sustainable materials and manufacturing methods. Through personal use and research, we strive to offer outstanding, earth friendly products to our customers. We believe in building and maintaining strong customer and vendor relationships while providing a healthy and supportive environment for our employees with a focus on health, growth and flexibility. We envision working in harmony with people to help restore health and balance to the planet.
Relation to Your Community: We relate to the "green" community by attending green festivals, sustainable fairs, and other related trade shows, to keep up on the current trends and concerns involving people and the planet.
Sustainability Goals Your Company Embraces: Our goal is to leave the smallest company carbon footprint possible. We can achieve this by doing our part to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

reason This is very important, we continue to buy products that are produced sustainably. Our "green" community expects us to have done our research and trusts that the products that we sell are sustainable. |

reason We have friends drop off their newspapers, which are made from recycled paper, to use as packing material in our boxes. We also reuse any box that was returned to us by our customers. |

reason We only use 1/3 of our energy efficient lights in our warehouse. We prefer to use natural light in our showroom on clear days. We have an energy efficient furnace and very well insulated building. |

reason The cleaning supplies we use are baking soda and vinegar. We also sell some organic cleaning products. |

reason All office paper is shredded and used for packing material. We also use newspaper for packaging material. We have someone pick up our unusable cardboard once a week to be recycled. |

reason Every package that is sent to our customers has a label on it saying to "Please Reuse or Recycle This Box." We also do not have trash pickup because we recycle/reuse 90% of everything. |

reason Our office and warehouse have energy efficient light bulbs and an Energy Star furnace. |

reason Office paper we use is made from recycled material. All of our office desks and chairs were purchased from a used furniture store. |

reason We decided to not get a dishwasher for our breakroom to conserve water. Our toilet is new and uses very little water to fill the bowl. |

reason We feel that we are reducing the release of toxic substances into the environment by purchasing from companies who offer products that have little or no harsh impact on our planet during the manufacturing process. Examples include items made from: bamboo that is grown without the use of fertilizers or pesticides; organic cotton grown without pesticides that has not been processed with bleach. |
