reason We reuse packaging materials to send orders to customers. The dermatology office maximizes mailings to pathology by sending out the maximum number of biopsies per container, rather than one at a time. We do not use a lot of packaging. We also do laundry in-house so it does not get shipped or picked up. |
 | Conserving energy
reason We have motion sensors for the lighting in restrooms, offices, patient exam rooms and the chart room. Our building utilizes natural lighting. Halogen lighting is used where applicable throughout the building. |
 | Conserving natural resources
reason We have low-gallon flush toilets. |
 | Preserving wildlife habitat
reason We have large grassy areas with trees and plants. The property line extends to the center of the Overland Ave. Pond. We have kept the swamp area as a natural bird sanctuary/habitat. We do not disturb the wildlife. |
 | Donating to non-profits
reason We have over ten non-profits that we donate to annually. Additional groups are donated to on a quarterly basis. Last Christmas Dr. Tallman donated gift cards to the Montana Rescue Mission to reward the employees for their help. We have also donated make-up to Dress for Success. |

reason We use a ground source heat pump. We have a lot of windows for natural lighting to increase our energy efficiency. |

reason We have Energy Star refrigerators, washers, and dryers. We also use time-controlled thermostats. |

reason We improve the health of the community by diagnosing and treating skin cancer and other skin conditions. We provide educational materials and teach patients about ways to prevent skin cancer. We participate in Holiday Public Service Announcements related to sunscreen awareness. We provide tattoo removal services at low or no cost to low income patients seeking this service. |

reason Employees are offered full health coverage including major medical, vison, dental and flex spending for daycare. Employees also receive discounted products and free/discounted spa/laser treatments. Immediate family members also receive discounts. |

reason We employee 16 people from Billings and the surrounding area. We also contract for service with over 100 local business vendors. We are a member of the Billings Chamber of Commerce. |

reason We reuse packaging and boxes for shipping products. We reuse and recycle office paper. We are converting our billing documentation to electronic and scanning documents to patients charts. We have electronic paychecks and email paystubs. In Spa and Dermatology restrooms we use cloth hand towels instead of peper. We email our product orders rather than faxing them. |
