reason We avoid commutes and handle all our correspondence via email vs. using paper. Whenever possible, we use public transit to attend meetings. We use energy saving power strips that let us power off equipment when it's not in use. |
 | Reducing toxic emissions
reason We were heavily involved in the national plastic bag ban movement's efforts to educate consumers about the need to bring their own reusable bags when they shop, and continue to work to get plastic bags banned. We give speeches at local schools regarding careers in environmentalism and provide materials to educate students about recycling, organic agriculture, and animal welfare. |

reason We participate in beach cleanups and are now working with the community garden movement. |

reason We make every effort to avoid using virgin materials and recycle every piece of plastic, glass, paper, cardboard, and metal that is used in our business. We are also initiating drives to encourage laws that require all apartments to provide recycling receptacles for their tenants. |

reason The only paper we use is 100% recycled post consumer waste. Our pencils are made from recycled newspaper, recycled dollar bills and recycled denim. |

reason We use organic products for company premiums and have promoted organic cotton clothing companies. In our own lives, we buy organic clothing and food. |

 | Donating to non-profits
reason We donate to a plethora of nonprofits including urgent crisis aide to people in Haiti and Tsunami Relief. We also support local animal rescues as well as WWF, Sierra Club, ASPCA, HSUS, St. Jude\'s, the Salvation Army, Goodwill, and many others. |
 | Improving the health of community
reason We work very hard to coordinate with our local Mayor and communities nationwide (such as Greensburg, Kansas) to provide guidance and support for eco-friendly initiatives. |
 | Energy efficient equipment
reason We use powerstrips for our equipment that we shut off when the equipment isn't in use vs. putting computers and equipment on "sleep." |
 | Using recycled materials
reason Any CDs or DVDs we receive with promotional materials are recycled. All electronic equipment is recycled when it ends its lifespan. All ink cartridges are recycled. All computer paper used is 100% recycled. We use reusable water bottles and we recycle any items we can such as metal, paper, glass, plastic, etc. |
