Dear Green Directory Montana Members:
As our nation continues to strive for the passage of comprehensive clean energy and climate legislation, American businesses, both small and multinational, are showing their support for the environmental, national security, and job creating benefits that an investment in clean energy will yield.
In addition to the local businesses in states all across America, some of the more recognizable and far reaching names that have pledged their support for clean energy include Starbucks, The Gap, Levi Strauss, Nike, Tom's Shoes, Whole Foods Market, Ebay, Pepsico, Clif Bar and Avon. There is no better way for your business to show its commitment to environmentally sound causes than to join in, and by building a local coalition of Montanan businesses, we will create a strong community with a united voice that cannot be ignored.

http://www.climatesolutions.org/montanaUpon signing up, I will provide you with a sign that reads "This Business Supports CLEAN ENERGY" for you to post in your storefront or other prominent location within your business.
Below is the full statement from the business sign-on sheet.
"Business leaders of all sizes and sectors are calling for leadership from Washington, DC to ensure a prosperous, competitive and secure future for America, for many reasons.

Strong, comprehensive clean energy and climate legislation will drive investment in cost-lowering and energy saving technologies, creating a new wave of industrial growth that is supported by millions of new business opportunities and jobs.
This will in turn restore America's technological edge and keep our inventions, companies, and most importantly- our newly created jobs I engineering, manufacturing and installation- here in the United States.
This greater reliance on American innovation will increase security here at home by reducing our dependence on energy sources from overseas .
But for America to compete and lead, the Obama administration and Congress must embrace our call for leadership so that our businesses, workers and entrepreneurs can lead the way.
To make sure our voice is heard, we are joining with business leaders from all over America, coming together with a single message: We support Congressional enactment of clean energy and climate legislation that will significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In doing so, we stand up with and as a part of American Businesses for Clean Energy."
